- This information is for solicitation (RFQ) SPM1C1-08-Q-0243. The item is Skirt, Woman’s Poly/Wool Gabardine Dark Blue Marine Corps Shade #2312. The applicable NSN for this procurement is 8410-01-413-2741 (s). The military specification is MIL-S-29429B dated 01 June 1994. The pattern is dated 07 September 2004. The purchase quantity is 1,920 each. The first delivery order is due 60 days after the date of award. The destination for this item is to a Travis Association for The Blind depot in Austin, TX. The solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside that will result in a firm fixed price contract. All materials used in the fabrication of the end item are to be furnished by the contractor with exception of the basic fabric (Poly/Wool Gabardine Type II, Class 12, Dark Blue Marine Corps Shade #2312, MothProofed), which will be provided as GFM. This cloth is 59 inches minimum wide and the NSN is 8305-01-248-6805. The storage facility for the cloth is in a DDAG depot in Albany, GA. The Government does not intend to use FAR part 12 for this acquisition. Reference Numbered Notes 1, 9, and 26. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and “specialty metals” (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
