Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NOI8215 and the solicitation is being issued as a Notice of Intent on sole source basis. A statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-24.) This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not a Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code is 541712. This must have the following requirements: initiating new studies on the capacity of dendritic cells to present antigen to T cells from these mouse strains. A study will also be conducted using experiments involving the adoptive transfer of T cells from one strain into the other to determine the role of T cell and host-derived genes at inducing the inflammatory phenotype of one particular strain of these mice. These are new experiments designed to uncover the mechanism of disease susceptibility in these mouse strains. The contractor must be able to perform experiments and studies as listed as will participate in seminars, consult with members of the laboratory, and will be actively engaged in the exchange of ideas with other NIH scientists. All responses received will be considered by the agency. In order to be considered for an award, an offeror must have completed the online electronic representations and certifications located at http://orca.bpn.gov/ in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a.) By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR at www.ccr.gov/ prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation (Note: Lack of registration in the central contractor registration will make an offeror ineligible for award.) Offers must be submitted no later then 5:00pm. Eastern daylight time on Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
