- Proposals are being sought for replacement and installation of three, (Government Furnished) large bottomless arch structures located on the Methow Valley Ranger District, Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest, Okanogan County, near Twisp, Washington. One to three separate contracts are possible dependant on offers and prices received. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and supplies except the bottomless arch culvert steel structural plate which will be supplied by the Government. Materials that are contractor furnished include the riprap, aggregate, precast concrete footings, and any other materials to complete the work as designed. Dewatering and stream diversion work will be required. Project shall conform to the requirements as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the USDA Forest Service. Other project work requirements include: construction staking, soil erosion and pollution control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, removal and disposal of the old culvert, stream diversion and dewatering, topsoil conservation, placing precast footings, structural bottomless plate arch assembly, rock placement, backfill and finish grade, and stream simulation rock placement through the new structure. The estimated cost range for all three projects (3 culverts) is $100,000 to $250,000. A 20% bid bond will be required with all offers, with a resulting 100% performance and payment bond required after award. Notice of Total HUBzone Small Business Concern Set-Aside – Offers from other than Certified HUBzone Contractors will not be considered. Offerors must be certified with the Small Business Administration Certification list. In stream work restriction is from July 1st to September 30th for 2 projects and July 1st to August 1st for one project, all completed in 2008 season. No site visit is scheduled.
