- 0001 - This admendment is issued to answer some questions. 1) Q: In the synopsis, it states the NAICS is 334516. Does that mean only organizations registered in the CCR with that industry classification can submit a bid with reasonable expectationof not becoming disqualified? A: It means that NAICS is 334516 is for small businesses 500 employees or less. 2) Q: Does this require Installation? A: Yes, It does not require removal of the old system. 3) Q: Is the the height 8 ft and the other dimensions in inches? A: The interior dimesions are 13ft.9in.W x 11ft.10in.D x 8ft.H minimum 14ft.W x 14ft. x 10ft. maxiumum 4) Q: Do we have a choice of single or double doors ? A: Double doors 5) Q: Can I have an extension of at least a week? A: No 6) Q: What is the absolute minimum temperature required? A: So required is -60 F 7) Q:What is the absolute maximum temperature needed? A: So required is 185F 8) Q: Time Requirement: Must reach -60F within 3 hours as installed and 185F in 8 hours from ambient (room) temperature typically 72F. Is this based on an EMPTY chamber, or loaded with product? A: 10% full of product at room temperature 9) Q: Interior working dimensions: 139W X 1110D X 8H Minimum 14W X 14D X10H Maximum: Can you tell me what internal dimensions are preferred, in Inches? Again the specs were sent with minimim interior working dimensions. The minimum dimensions stated don't make sense? A:13ft9inW X 11ft10inD X 8ftH Minimum 14ftW X 14ftD X10ftH maximum 10) Q:Compressor and evaporator to be mounted inside the facility. This simply means connected to the Chamber box correct? A: YES 11) Q: Condenser to be mounted in a non environmentally controlled facility adjacent to the environmental chamber approximately 8 away. Condensers give offsignificant heat. Can it be placed outdoors, if you require an AIR cooled system? If the non-environmentally controlled room will never exceed 95 degF, then we could conceivably mount it indoors. A: The unit is to be placed outdoors in an not in the non-environmentally controlled room. Doubtful it will really insulate the condensor. The room is to protect against ice and snow buildup. 12) Q: Power: 208 3Phase Power Delta System.: Is 208V 3 phase the only power available? Do you have 460/480V available? A: No 208V 3phase 13) Q: Doors:1 entry door: 36 X 84 high, 1 double door set 88 wide X 7 high: Is an 84in high door required, or would a 77in door suffice? Is 88in the minimum needed for a double door? If not, what is the minimum? A: bc6.Static floor loading minimum: 600 LBS/SQFT 14) Q: While the product is in the chamber, will it be powered? If so, will it be powered during the COLD testing? Will it be powered during the COLD Transition? A: No, the time requiement assumes no powered equipment. 15) Q: IF Powered, how much heat (in watts) will the product dissipate to the ambient room? A: None for the time requirement, but we may perform some testing on powered equipement 16) Q: Is there chilled water available for a water cooled condenser, or is AIR cooled preferred. A: The condensor would freeze with water cooling on a -30F day. Air cooled is mandantory.
