Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b) “Soliciting from a Single Source” with NetCentric technologies, 300 March Road, Suite 205, Kanata, Ontario, Canada K2K 2E2 to provide an automated solution for Section 508 compliance checking and remediation of PDF documents through the use of NetCentric CommonLook plug-in to Professional Adobe Acrobat. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed purchase order. Other organizations possessing the necessary resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, expertise, and other pertinent data via email to Rick.Bolt@ssa.gov by April 18, 2008. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS. A determination by Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the cutoff date, the SSA will proceed with sole source negotiations with NetCentric Technologies. Again, all questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted electronically to the email address listed above (the Point of Contact). Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
