- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number EA133C-08-RQ-0322 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Hollings Marine Lab located in Charleston, SC requires full service and preventative maintenance agreements for the following three items manufactured by Applera Corporation with a twelve-month base period of June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009 with an additional two twelve-month option periods: Item 0001: 7000 Sequence Detection System, Serial Number 270002187 Item 0002: API 4000, Serial Number S0660208 Item 0003: 7500 Real Time PCR System, Serial Number 275000423 The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: see FAR 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference (FEB 1998) and FAR 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998). This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The period of performance of this contract is from June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009. If additional terms are provided for, the period of performance shall be extended through the end of that term. b. The term periods that may be exercised are as follows: option period one 06/01/2009 - 05/31/2010 and option period two 06/01/2010 - 05/31/2011.
