- Description
- This project includes all work associated with replacing the ANSUL Fire alarm system protecting the Second Floor Training (East) Area at the Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), Houston, Texas. The overall project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1.Demolition Work - The work includes the removal of the ANSUL Fire alarm system in its entirety including wiring, conduit, smoke detectors, notification appliances, panels, and the removal of smoke dampers located in the return air grilles. 2.New Work - The work includes the installation of an addressable fire detection and alarm system in the Second Floor Training (East) area; installation of a remote annunciator; and installation of additional addressable interface devices for the existing VESDA system located in the Control Room. The new system shall be interfaced with the building's existing fire alarm control panels. The government furnished material includes the Fire alarm Control Panel (FACP), smoke detectors, notification appliances, and other items that may be used by the contractor. It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide and install any other items necessary for the installation of a fire detection and alarm system compliant with NFPA 72 that is not included in the CFM. The contractor shall provide all wiring and conduit. Time: 45 Calendar Days Estimated Cost: Between $100,000 - $200,000 NACI: 238210 Size Standards: $13.0 Million This is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE project. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
