Description

The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for brushing and log out of approximately 53 km of trails in Wilderness and non-Wilderness areas. Trails to be maintained are located on the Skykomish Ranger District of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This project will maintain existing trails. Trails to be logged out and brushed are generally located in old growth forests, with logs to be removed ranging from 100 mm in diameter up to 1200 mm in diameter. The size, quantity, and difficulty of removal of logs vary from trail to trail. This contract includes a base item for year 2008 services, which will be awarded initially, and renewal options to award for services to be rendered in years 2009, and 2010. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about May 1st, 2008. The estimated start work date is on or about June 15, 2008.
