- Proposed Solicitation Number: N/A, this is not a solicitation number; however, we used the Justification and Approval Control Number of W9126G-08-I-BASY. Opening and Closing Response Date: Opens 16 April 2008 and closes 03 June 2008. Contract Point of Contact: Earnestine Cooper, Contract Specialist, (817) 886-1044. Contract Award Dollar Amount: Less than $500,000.00, firm fixed price. Contractor: Affiliated Engineers, Inc., 5802 Research Park Blvd., Madison, WI 53719. Description: The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Interested companies shall respond to this notice by providing the following information: 1) Company Name, 2) Address, 3) Point of Contact information with telephone number and email address, 4) Cage Code, 5) Capabilities information/statement showing that the company has the ability to fulfill the Government requirement as described herein. The contractor shall be able to comply with all requirements described herein to be considered capable. This project is for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, who is overseeing the replacement of existing Building Automation Systems for the Drug Enforcement Administration. This notice of intent to award a sole source is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The project involves replacing the existing Automated Logic Corporation BAS and pneumatic field controls (air terminal controllers, fan coil unit controllers, etc.), with a 100% Direct Digital Controls (DDC) BAS to match the Reliable Controls BAS which is being provided as part of the new DEA lab facility currently under construction at the DEA Training Center. The new system must incorporate the entire facility all air handling units, packaged air conditioning units, heat pumps, fan coil units, chillers, boilers, terminal boxes, heaters, radiators, exhaust fans, and life safety monitoring. The BAS computers need to be upgraded to include new software and to replace slow and cumbersome interfaces. This notice of intent to award a sole source is NOT a request for competitive proposals. NorthAmerican Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 541330, Engineering Services. Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is $4.5 Millions. Federal Supply Code is C214, Architect and Engineering Management Engineering. Once the solicitation is released, to be eligible to receive a Government contract award, a firm must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
