- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The solicitation will be for a 5-year, Firm-Fixed priced (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity/ (IDIQ) contract for 9mm Frangible AA16 Ammunition, match grade, MK 248 Mod 0 (A191) manufactured in accordance with NSWC specification DS/4083/C03/1312 and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs DD1423). The resulting award is not to exceed $30 million dollars over the 5-year ordering period. Delivery of minimum quantity is required F.O.B. NSWC Crane 47522 within 60 days after award. Inspection and acceptance will be at source by a Government representative. This is a full and open competition acquisition and all responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The final contract award decision will be based upon a combination of technical, price and past performance evaluation factors, including product samples, as described in the solicitation. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value ! to the Government in accordance with the advertised evaluation criteria. Offers that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. An export control technical data package (TDP) exists for this item. Technical data will only be released to contractors who are authorized/certified by Defense Logistics Service Center via the Joint Certification Program. Other requests to receive the data shall be referred to Commander, Code 0562NN, NSWC Crane, IN 47522-5001.This will be a Commercial Acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about 01 MAY 2008 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm.All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Agency. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Governments Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and the annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet @ www.ccr.gov. This solicitation will be available to download via WWW on the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division homepage at www.crane.navy.mil. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF). No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must download from the www site listed. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO. It is the responsibility of interested! vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation.
