Description

***NOTICE: THIS SOLICITATION NOTICE REPLACES SP4703-08-Q-0018. This requirement is to remove ceiling tiles and overlaying fiberglass insulation, potentially containing chrysotile or potentially contaminated with free asbestos fibers in a portion of DSCR Building 33, Bay C. The area, consisting of 4,231 square feet requires asbestos abatement/decontamination in accordance with the CFR Part 763, Subpart E, the Asbestos School Hazardous Reauthorization Act (ASHARA) protocols, and the National Emission Standards For Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) standards. The work shall be completed within 45 days from date of award by DSCR Contracting Officer. The area will be cleared of all debris and/or equipment prior to the commencement of work. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), disposal services, services of an asbestos project monitor, and necessary laboratory analysis for the job. All work shall be performed by Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation licensed asbestos abatement workers. The work shall be performed in accordance with the Scope of Work dated March 07, 2008 as prepared by DSCR-SDE, which will be integrated into the delivery order.
