Description

The Contractor shall provide the design of the insertion of the Captain's Information and Control Station (CICS) into the TRIDENT II FCS This includes a trade off targeting Subsystem (TSS) Fire Control SPALT Design, including a trade-off on the connection to the Radio Room, through the presentation of a Concept Review and Systems Requirements Review in accordance with OD 61424 (8 January 2008), Process for Design and Deployment of Hardware and Software Changes to SP23 Programs. In addition, provide a combined Systems Requirements Allocation Review and Preliminary Design Review in accordance with OD 61424 (8 January 2008), Process for Design and Deployment of Hardware and Software Changes to SP23 Programs. Also, modify, manage, and report on program plans, schedules, costs and events in accordance with OD 61424 (8 January 2008). All efforts shall be performed in accordance with the T9001B checklist dated 27 July 2005, Type: Fire Control, and shall be done in accordance with Development column. Delivery is anticipated 11 months ARO. The Contractor shall provide the data required by and described in the attached CDRL form. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
