Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (SSS). THERE IS NO SOLICITATIONAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. ANY REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This SSS is in support of market research being conducted by the United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force Security Assistance Center (AFSAC), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH 45433-5337 to identify potential sources to meet the EAF requirement for T56 Engine Breakout Kits. All parts shall be new and at the beginning of their shelf lives. AFSAC is seeking qualified sources for procurement of multiple quantities of nine (9) types of kits: 1 (Power Section Accessories), 2 (T56 Compressor Blades), 3 (Turbine Blades & Hardware), 4 (Torque Meter), 5 (Engine On Condition), 6 (Compressor Vane, for Repair Condition Compressor), 7 (Reduction Gear Box), 8 (Turbine Module), 9 (Reduction Gearbox Mod). The attached list details the compositions by Part Number (P/N) and quantity. Qualified contractors must: be able to deliver all kits in their entirety; have the technical expertise & engineering proficiency to ensure all P/Ns are properly stored, packed, handled and shipped in such a way that does not diminish their expected usefulness or lifespan; and provide any required tech-related data regarding the P/Ns, including shelf life and warranty information for each item. Contractors responding to this SSS shall submit the following information electronically no later than 09 May 2008, 16:30 EST to debra.graves@wpafb.af.mil. Responses must include the following: name and address of the firm, capabilities related to the task, size of business, average annual revenue for the past 3 yrs, no of employees, indicate large, small, sm disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone, and/or woman-owned, yrs in business, affiliate information, parent company, joint venture partners, a list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, POC, and a capability statement for the accomplishment of need as outlined above. The page limitation for this submission is ten (10). Any information submitted by respondents to this SSS is strictly voluntary. The USAF will not reimburse for any costs associated with the responses. This does not constitute a RFP or an IFB, nor does its issuance restrict the ultimate acquisition approach. The USAF reserves the right to contact the submitting parties for clarification of information. The USAF will use its evaluation of the info provided and other research to determine which sources appear qualified.
