Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center 5500 Armstrong Rd., Battle Creek, Michigan, 49037 anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Eave Restoration and Painting". The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a 100% Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and travel to perform work under this project. This project will provide for general construction and alterations,initial inspection of site conditions, verification of quanitites, paint removal, damaged wood restoration, joint sealing, priming, and painting. The location of the work will be at the above stated address. The period of performance is 90 calendar days. Magnitude of construction is expected to be between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS Code: 236220. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about Monday May 5, 2008. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers.
