Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 13 May 2008 to 13 May 2008 Reception Desk in Lobby Provide a separate, event reception desk in the lobby on 13 May 2008 to accommodate incoming personnel. _______ 13 May 2008 to 13 May 2008 Conference Room Provide use of one 150-person conference room(theatre style set up) on 2 May 2008 for purpose of providing a private location for operational briefing to incoming personnel.________________ 13 May 2008 to 18 May 2008 Parking Spaces and Passes Provide parking accommodations for 10 oversize vans (15 PAX) or reserved Parking spaces to accommodate vehicles of incoming personnel. Parking spaces must be accessible for large vans or SUVs and not have limiting factors (i.e. low ceilings, small parking spaces).______________ 13 May 2008 to 19 May 2008 Hotel Lodging Tentatively provide between 31 and 46 double occupancy rooms for lodging incoming personnel. Dates rooms will be needed are from 13 to 19 May 2008 for Public Service Recognition Week.___________________ 14 May 2008 to 19 May 2008 On Site Breakfast for all attending personnel tentatively provide on site breakfast for personnel from 0500-0700 from 14 to 19 May 2008. This number may be decreased 14 days prior to event date._________________________ 11 May 2008 to 12 May 2008 Advance Personnel Lodging Tentatively provide 8 double occupancy for advanced personnel from 11 May 2008 to 12 May 2008. On 13 May, these rooms will become part of the total rooms needed._________________ 11 May 2008 to 12 May 2008 Advanced Personnel On Site Breakfast Tentatively provide on site breakfast for 15 personnel from 11 to 12 May 2008._____________ Hotel must be within 15 miles of Andrews Air Force Base. STATEMENT OF WORK For Joint Services Open House 2008 1. Contracting the support to be provided by the Commander, Joint Forces Headquarters, National Capital Region (JFHQ-NCR) and the Military District of Washington (MDW) in support of the annual Joint Services Open House (JSOH). JFHQ-NCR / MDW will provide Operational, Logistical, and Security support for this event, and is seeking a hotel that is in close proximity to Andrews Air Force Base for ease of access for all personnel and organizers. 2. Period of Performance: Start Date: 13 May 2008 End Date: 19 May 2008 3. Places of Performance: This event will be at Andrews Air Force Base. Hotel must be accessible to Andrews Air Force Base. It is preferred that the hotel be no further than 15 miles from Andrews Air Force Base. 4. Description of Work: For the purposes of lodging incoming personnel, MDW/JFHQ-NCR will require hotel lodging for the duration of this event. Personnel will arrive on 13 May 2008 and check out on 19 May 2008. Specifically, the contracted hotel will: a. Provide a separate, event specific reception desk in the lobby on 13 May 2008 to accommodate incoming personnel. The reception desk will be needed from 0600-1700 on 13 May 2008. b. Provide use of one 120-person conference room (theatre-style set up) on 13 May 2008 from 1600-2000 for purpose of providing a private location for operational briefing to incoming personnel. c. Provide double occupancy rooms for lodging incoming personnel for JSOH (13-19 May 2008). Maximum number of rooms will be 55, and the minimum number of rooms will be 40. A Government agent will inform the hotel no later than 07 days prior to check-in of the total number of rooms within the above range. The above dates include check-in date (13 May 2008) and check-out date (19 Mary 2008). d. Provide parking accommodations for 10 oversize vans (15 PAX) and parking spaces to accommodate normal-sized vehicles of incoming personnel. Parking spaces for the vans must be accessible for large vans or SUVs, and not have limiting factors (i.e. low ceilings, small parking spaces). e. Provide on-site breakfast for 70-110 personnel from 0500-0700 from 13 19 May 2008. This number will be provided with the number of rooms no later than 07 days prior to check-in. Breakfast should be buffet or, if buffet is not available, continental.
