Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issue. The solicitation number is SA1301-8-RQ-0014. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document, incorporated provisions, and clauses are that in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The full text of clauses referenced herein may be accessed electronically at http://acqnet.gov/far/. The NAICS Code 333319, Trash and garbage compactors, commercial-type, manufacturing and the small business size standard is 500. The Government shall award one Firm Fixed price type purchase order. This is not a small business set-aside RFQ. The following commercial items (OR EQUAL) are being solicited. The Department of Commerce requires the following items, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL: LINE ITEM 0001- MARATHON RJ250SC 20 YARD TRASH COMPACTOR. The trash compactor shall be in accordance with the following specifications: •Custom Height of 78” to fit on existing stand, Standard Height of 8’8”. •Rear feed doghouse with interlock, •Advance warning light, •3/8 Crash plate on rear door, •½” wear strips, •Tri-volt option, •Rear door hinged opposite, and •Push button controls and key switch. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition and include any addenda to the provisions. This solicitation incorporates one or more clauses by reference with the same force and effect as if they were giving in full text: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items. The following FAR clauses in FAR 52.222-3, Convict Labor, FAR 52.222-19, Child Labor-Cooperation with authorities and Remedies, 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities, FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity, FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities, FAR 52.222-50 Combating Traffic in Persons. FAR 52.225-13, Restriction on Certain Foreign Purchases, FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration, FAR 52.233-3 Protest after Award. The following Commerce Acquisition Regulation clauses apply to this requisition and include any addenda to the provisions.
