- Description
- Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and material, necessaryto clearapproximately 9.0 miles (approximately 88 acres) of the Right-of-Way (ROW)forthe Trinity-Weaverville 60-kV Transmission Line including the Lewiston Tap; haul merchantable timber to staging areas and from staging areas to timbermill; improve 11.6 miles of existing access roads and construct five milesofnew access roads; construct 16.3 miles of 60kV transmission line on steelandwood pole structures; furnish and install optical overhead ground wire(OPGW);furnish and install 226.8 kcmil Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR)conductor and All Dielectric Self Supporting (ADSS) fiber optic cable;furnishand install a transmission line tap switch; perform site development forthenew switching station, furnish and install four bays of 60-kV bus,structuresand associated electrical equipment; furnish and install service building,furnish and install Lewiston substation bus structures and substationswitchstructure with switches and fuse disconnects. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed pricecontractaward is contemplated and the period of performance is for all work to becompleted by December 31, 2008. The project magnitude is estimated between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The applicable North American IndustryClassification System (NAICS) code is 237130. This requirement is a FullandOpen Competition. Place of Performance is Trinity County, California. The successful contractor will be selected using Performance Price Tradeoff(PPT)procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Technical andPastperformance is significantly more important than price. It is anticipatedthesolicitation package to include specifications and drawings will beavailableat no charge on or about May 07, 2008. Requests for CD copy of solicitationisrequired.
