Description
Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractorto provideall labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources tocompletethis project.The principal components of the work involve the construction of a highvoltage230/69-kV electrical substation near Carpenter, South Dakota. Workincludessitework, concrete foundations, fencing, grounding system, providinggalvanizedsteel structures, furnishing and installing major outdoor electricalequipment,installing Government-furnished transformers, circuit breakers, andinstrumenttransformers, installing Government-furnished transmission line steelstructures for the approach spans, provide a prefabricated servicebuilding,and other additional items as described on the drawings and specifications. The work is located in Spink County, South Dakota. This solicitation is100%Full and Open Competition - Sealed Bids. The estimated constructionmagnitudeof this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to becompleted within 300 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.Allresponsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about May 12, 2008 andtheprojected bid opening date is June 12, 2008. Interested bidders mustemail,fax or mail the Contract Specialist to request the specifications andapplicable drawings. DO NOT post any questions or responses to this IFB on IIPS. Any questions or responses posted to IIPS that concern this IFB willnotbe considered during the evaluation and award process. Any non-U.S.(ForeignNational) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administrationfacilitymust receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western SecurityManager.
