Description
The FAA is seeking Viking Sprinkler System approved installers to perform upgrades to the existing Viking systems located at our Air Route Traffic Control Center facilities in Farmington, Minnesota (DTFAGL-08-R-00148) and Indianapolis, Indiana (DTFAGL-08-C-00149). The scope of work for the Farmington Facility is to modify the existing Viking Firecycle fire suppression sprinkler systems (10 zones total - Zones 1, 2 and 4 thru 11) and at the Indianapolis Facility to modify the existing Viking Firecycle fire suppression sprinkler systems (10 zones total - Zones 2 thru 11) both to comply with the current Viking Firecycle installation criteria and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13. In addition, Zones 7 and 11 shall be upgraded from Fire Cycle II systems to the Trimpac Fire Cycle III systems. Note: When the project is complete, a Jacobs Engineering Representative must be invited on-site to witness the acceptance test.Note: The requirement for the Total Pack and installation of Class A wiring has been deleted from the scope of work. Offer range, for both projects, is between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance time of approximately 60 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for spring 2008. Interested firms should submit a letter of interest to the Contracting Officer via fax (847-294-7801) or by email (melody.mcgovern@faa.gov) including the following documentation: 1.) Identify your location of interest; and, 2.) Provide your Viking certification. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bonding will be required in the amounts as follows: Offer Guarantee in the amount of 20% of the offer price, 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing.
