- Description
- NASA/KSC has a requirement for annual preventative maintenance for an ArdaraTechnologies Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer. NASA/KSC intends to purchase these services from Ardara Technologies L.P. 9937 McClellanStreet North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania 15642.Ardara Technologies is the original equipment manufacturer that customized the instrumentto perform its unique operations that is currently in operation at KSC. This is anexisting NASA hardware system, for which we have contracted with Ardara Technologies inthe past for performance of this work.The Ardara technicians are specifically trainedfor the maintenance, repair and alterations of this instruments proprietary systems. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon May 5, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
