- Description
- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – MARKET RESEARCH SOURCES SOUGHT RFI-AG-84N8-S-08-0039 The Remote Sensing Applications Center (RSAC) and the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) would like to thank you for your ongoing participation in the Infrared Field Users’ Guide and Vendor Listing reference document. The information you provided in past years helped to create the Infrared Field Users’ Guide and Vendor Listing (IFUGVL). The IFUGVL gives Incident Management Teams a tool for choosing the appropriate thermal infrared system for their wildfire incident. Over the past two years, personnel from RSAC and NIFC have given numerous presentations introducing the IFUGVL to the wildfire community. While the feedback has been very positive, it is critical that we do our best to ensure the vendor’s listing continues to be current and accurate. We are requesting that you take the time to review the information listed for your company’s thermal infrared capabilities and update them as necessary. INSTRUCTIONS: The purpose of this request is to gather information to conduct additional market research for planning purposes. This is a request for information only. It is not contractually binding. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the information provided, and will not pay for any costs associated with information collected. 1. The Infrared Field Users’ Guide and Vendor Listings RSAC-1309-RPT3 can be accessed at http://nirops.fs.fed.us/reports.html 2. Check your company’s information in Table 3 (page 11) and ensure that the information provided is correct. 3. Also check your individual vendor listing in the vendor list (beginning page 12). Ensure that this information is current and complete. 4. If you are a new vendor, please provide information similar to that displayed in the vendor listing guide for other vendors. You are also welcome to provide input for the “Remarks” section of the vendor list. Please keep your submission to 100 words or less, and limit the contents to quantifiable information about your system. The Forest Service reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit this information. All corrections and comments should be submitted to ehinkley@fs.fed.us, Voice (801) 975-3752 or FAX (801) 975-3478 by May 16, 2008. Changes For the 2008 guide and vendor listing will not be accepted after that date.
