- Description
- The VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA has a requirement for replacement of the two (2) elevators in Building 1. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of structures and furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision required for Project No.542-05-105, Replace Elevators Building No. 1, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center in Coatesville, Pa. This work includes the demolition, removal and replacement of the two existing 3500 pound elevators including all associated components, demolition, mechanical, electrical, structural modifications, temporary fencing, all necessary rigging, and all modifications required for a complete functioning system, and final clean-up. All work shall be in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. The new work shall meet all applicable VA criteria, codes, life safety codes and Uniform Building Codes. The work shall be completed within 180 days from Notice To Proceed. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code is 238990. The anticipated completion time for this project is 180 calendar days and the government estimate cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns capable of performing the required work. Solicitation number IFB VA-244-08-IB-0004 will be available for download o/a 05/02/2008 at www.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV. A limited number of drawings and specifications will be available for pick-up on a first come first served basis o/a 05/02/2008 at a refundable cost of $100.00 per set, payable to the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Building 19 South, Coatesville, PA 19320. Drawings and specifications must be returned no later than June 17, 2008 for refunds. There will be a pre-bid meeting and walk thru conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM All interested bidders are to meet at Building 19 South. All requests for information must be in writing and sent to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM no later than May 12, 2008. VA response to requests for information will be posted o/a May 23, 2008. Sealed bids are due at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA by 11:00 AM on June 3, 2008. Bid opening will be held on June 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM.
