- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W68Q2781156502 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This request for Quote is due by 7 MAY 2008, 12:00pm (local time). The RFQ will result in a firm fixed price contract. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238990. The United States Property and Fiscal Office of the Washington Army National Guard is soliciting quotes to procure the following supply or services: CLIN 0001: $__________________ Lump Sum Bid - Statement of Work for Containers South Puget Sound - Request that a vendor set up and operate cranes capable of unloading and placing 12 empty 20 commercial shipping containers to unit locations (Armories) in Olympia, Longview, and Montesano in accordance with the distribution plan below. Cranes will need to be operational at 9:00 a.m. on the specified dates. If the trucks do not arrive as scheduled, or the crane can not unload and place them as fast as projected, the work will be completed on the following day. Vendor may use any applicable material handling equipment, so long as it is rated for the estimated 5500 pounds for an empty 20 container. Containers may need to go in multiple locations within the unit armory location. Subsequently, the crane may need to be set up and moved more than once on a given day. The vendor will provide any applicable required slings or ancillary equipment required to unload and place the containers.
