- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure installation and commissioning spare parts for the Dual Point Davit Systems currently installed on the 210’ and 270’ Coast Guard vessels as identified in the RFQ package uploaded to this announcement. Alternate part numbers are not acceptable. A fixed-price commercial purchase order shall be awarded as a result of this solicitation. It is the Government’s belief that only Welin Lambie, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, possesses the required technical and engineering specifications and drawings to successfully manufacture these parts while ensuring form, fit, and function. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to Welin Lambie. The Government did not procure this information, or the rights to use this information, at the time the original davit systems were procured. Therefore it is the Government’s intention to solicit and award only with Welin Lambie, Ltd. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to manufacture these parts are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 7 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate offeror capabilities (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) of each part; or (2) Data that these parts have been successfully manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to fully evaluate offeror capabilities relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this purchase order as planned. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. Request For Quotation (RFQ) Number HSCG40-08-Q-60012 shall be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about May 24, 2008.
