- The FAA is seeking contractors to perform the following work at the Outagamie County Regional Airport Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), Appleton, Wisconsin: The Scope of this project includes, but is not limited to the following:Cab RoofThe Contractor shall replace the cab roof in its entirety, including the existing roofing, insulation, drains, walkpads, etc. with a new EPDM roofing system. The Contractor shall remove the catwalk from the ATCT shaft and install EPDM on the exposed top corners of the ATCT shaft. The catwalk shall be re-installed and painted. This work shall be done in accordance with this Specification and the Drawings.ATCT ExteriorThe Contractor shall install new insulated metal siding panels on the exterior of the ATCT shaft, on the cab below the cab windows, and on the cab above the cab windows. The Contractor shall install new flashing and new cap-flashing, and shall caulk and seal all exterior areas, including wet-seal around all windows, including cab windows, and the newly installed HVAC units. This work shall be done in accordance with this Specification and the Drawings.ElectricalThe Contractor shall relocate the down-conductor to the exterior face of the new siding. The Contractor shall perform various electrical and grounding installations as specified. See Drawings and Specifications Division 16.VestibuleThe Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing canopy on the front of the ATCT, above the main entrance door. The Contractor shall install a new glass vestibule on the main door. This work shall be done in accordance with this Specification and the Drawings.HVACThe Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing heating/air conditioning units located in the ATCT shaft and on the cab roof. The Contractor shall install new units per this Specification and the Drawings.Offer range is between $250,000 to $500,000 with a performance time of approximately 60 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for July 2008. No work can be performed from July 20, 2008 through August 5, 2008. Bonding will be required in the amounts as follows: Offer Guarantee in the amount of 20% of the offer price, 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
