THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ TO PROVIDESERVICE AND MAINTENANCE FOR A GOVERNMENT OWNED ABAR VACUUM FURNACE. Companies shallacknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendmentto subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued.The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from vendor.Question: Do you just want a complete new hot zone? Answer: No, we do not need a new hot zone. Question: Was this up for bid last year?Answer: I don't know anything about this furnace being up for bid last year. Questions: How much work on the hot zone is needed? What size is the hot zone? What elements, and insulation materials are used?
