Description

The Microwave Imager Sounder (MIS) sensor is being developed by the NPOESS IPO to replace the Conical Microwave Imager Sounder (CMIS) as a result of the Nunn-McCurdy certification process. Critical expertise not resident at the IPO is needed to support the development of the scope and specification of the MIS sensor in the near-term, and to provide sensor science, algorithm development, and performance oversight throughout the acquisition.
