- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 6 Centralized Acquisition Service, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Maquet, Inc. 1140 Route 22 East Ste 202, Bridgewater, NJ 08807-2958. This proposed contract action is for providing Hardware and Software Maintenance for the Maquet Perfusion Machines for the VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Durham, NC, in accordance with the below Statement of Work. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed period of the contract will be for a Base Year and Four (4) Option Years. NAICS Code 811219 applies to this procurement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by May 2, 2008 at 4:30 pm EST and can be sent to VA Medical Center - Hampton, ATTN: Timothy Vaughn (90C), 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667 or email to Timothy.Vaughn1@med.va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone or faxed inquiries will not be accepted. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with a sole source negotiation with Maquet, Inc. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR HARDWARE/SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE OF MAQUET MODEL HL 20-151 PERFUSION MACHINES AT THE VAMC, DURHAM, NC 1. Two (2) Preventive Maintenance (PM) Inspections per Base Year and Option Year Periods on the following Perfusion Machines: A. VA ID # 32808, S/N 14021706. This unit is located in Operating Room (OR) # 1, Room # D4016-1. B. VA ID # 37607, S/N 100026. This unit is located in Room # C4032-1. 2. PMs to be scheduled with the mutual agreement of the Contractor Representative and the Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR). PMs to be performed by the Field Service Engineer (FSE) with OEM-training on this specific model of perfusion machine. FSE must have all service manuals and diagnostic software offered by the OEM. Service includes all parts normally replaced in the course of a routine PM and all parts must be OEM new parts. Contractor must provide a Field Service Report (FSR), documenting the PM performed. FSR can be hardcopy or in an electronic format. Payment will be made in arrears by certified invoice.
