- Description
- The Joint Tactical Edge Network (JTEN) NetOps Interoperability Working group, in coordination with Office of the Secretary of Defense Department of Development Research & Engineering (OSD DDR&E), will be hosting a Request for Information session on Network Management Interoperability on May 28-29, 2008 at the Holiday Inn, Tinton Falls, NJ. The objective is to identify what information needs to be shared, but also investigate a common way of transferring this information between different Network Management Systems operating in a Service or Joint network. We need to determine how to share this information effectively between different systems. The results of this workshop will be considered for submission to standards bodies. This opportunity will allow for different DoD Services, Industry and Academic Institutions to come together and discuss possible standards and implementations to Network Management, allowing for an overall improvement in NetOps. This workshop provides an excellent opportunity to understand common challenges in this area. We expect an open and interactive dialogue focused at identifying common challenges in bringing networks together and employment of interoperable Network Management Systems. All Industry and Academic Institutions interested in attending the Joint Network Management Science and Technology Workshop shall respond by completing the attached Attendance Request. Space is limited therefore not everyone who submits an Attendance Request will receive a formal invitation to attend. The Government is restricting attendance to two individuals per organization. If you would like to present, a draft brief should be submitted as well. Responses should be submitted by May 5, 2008 to both Kim Jakubowski and Yogeeta Kumar (contact information is below). Responses and briefings will be reviewed by a team consisting of members from of each of the DoD services for applicability and substance. Briefings must address the topic directly. Marketing briefs for individual products will not be considered. Based on the review, this team will invite attendees and briefers by May 14, 2008. A final agenda will be provided for this forum when attendance is confirmed. For the attendence request document, please visit https://abop.monmouth.army.mil/ under the Army Pre-Award, CECOM Market Research section, Title: Information Session - Joint Network Management Science and Technology (S&T) Workshop. At this time, it is not the intension of the Government to award any contracts as a result of this workshop. This workshop is for informational purposes only. We would like to thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
