- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract during FY 08 to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Maritime Systems and Sensors-Marine Systems, 2323 Eastern Blvd, Baltimore, MD, 21220, for FY08 MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) production and delivery requirements. In addition, an option for FY 09 MK 41 VLS Production and Delivery requirements will be included. The scope of the effort will include the production of CG Mod ORDALT Kits, MK 41 Test Equipment, AN/UYQ-70 LCUs, modules and Final Assembly and Acceptance of delivered launchers for the Naval Sea Systems Command MK 41 Vertical Launching System program. The anticipated contract period of performance for the FY 08 requirement will be from date of contract award for a period of 18 months thereafter plus the FY 09 option for an additional 18 months. Lockheed Martin Corporation, Maritime Systems and Sensors-Marine Systems is the prime contractor for producing the MK 41 Vertical Launching System and associated equipment.
