- The United States Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order with four option years, for the procurement and delivery of natural spring drinking water in 5 gallon Demi-John bottles in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures specified under FAR Part 13. This solicitation number is a Request for Quote (RFQ), W912DS-08-T-0018. The contractor shall provide and deliver the natural spring drinking water in 5 gallon Demi-John bottles to the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Caven Point Marine Base, 3 Chapel Avenue, Port Liberty, Jersey City, NJ 07305. One-Hundred (100) 5 gallon bottles of spring water shall be delivered during the 1st week of each month. This amount can go higher depending on mission requirements, personnel and weather. Additional deliveries may be required during emergencies and periods of excessive heat. The contractor is required to deliver the water within 24 hours after receiving a phone call from the Government requesting delivery. Delivery is the first week of each month, Monday through Friday between the hours of 0745 and 1500. The period of service will be for 12 months, commencing 5 May 2008 and ending 30 April 2009. There will be 4 option years commencing 1 May 2009, 1 May 2010 1 May 2011 and 1 May 2012, each option year ending on 30 April of the following year. Empty Demi-John bottles will be stored at Caven Point Marine Base and shall be picked up by the contractor when new bottles are delivered. The contractor shall not charge a bottle deposit to the Government. FOB: Destination. QUANTITY OF MEASURE: Natural Spring Drinking Water = 5 Gallon Demi-john Bottles. This effort is for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB). The applicable NAICs code is 424490 with a Small Business Size of 100 employees. BASIS FOR AWARD: The Government intends to make an award to the Contractor who submits the lowest, responsive quotation, and is deemed acceptable and responsible by the Contracting Officer. The Officers must submit quotations on the full quantity identified. Quotations are due 5 May 2008 no later than 2:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time).
