- Description: Imaging Center ReplacementThis project will engage an Architect-Engineering firm to provide Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Contract Drawings, Specifications, Construction Cost Estimate, Engineering Calculations and subsequent Construction Period Services for the above referenced project, specifically to involve: Architect - Engineering services are required for design, preparation of Contract Documents, and Construction Period Services, for a Minor Construction Project to construct a 6,996 square foot addition onto Building 1 for an expanded replacement imaging center to include permanent MRI, one Radiology room, Angio, and space for the existing Mail-Forms department currently occupying space to be demolished. Additionally renovate 5,303 square feet in the existing Radiology department to house Radiology rooms, Echo, Ultra Sound programs, and CT scan. Existing radiology equipment will be reused with provisions for a new permanent MRI. The renovated space will be rehabilitated to current VA standards and modestly reconfigured. Windows and flooring will be replaced, walls and ceilings repaired and restored, and all utility infrastructures replaced or upgraded. Construction cost estimated to be in the range of 5 to 5.5 million dollars. The A/E firm must have an active production office within a 200 mile radius of White River Junction, Vermont. The following factors will be considered: reputation and standing of the firm and its principal officials with respect to professional performance, general management and cooperativeness/record of significant claims against the firm because of improper or incomplete architectural and engineering services, specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project and their record of working together as a team. Award is subject to the availability of funds. Submissions of SF 330s are due NLT May 9, 2008. Please note that this is not a Request for Proposal and the Government is seeking information for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquires will not be honored; however interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contracting Officer. Responses received on or before May 9, 2008 will be considered.
