Description
This information is for solicitation SPM5A6-08-R-0053. The item is Truck Pivot Bolt, The applicable NSN for this procurement is 5306-01-149-4348. This is a sole source item to Boeing Company (82918) Part Number 458-56117-1 with Acceptable Sources of Supply: JM Precision Inc. (OJV78), Goodrich Corp (13002), CM Manufacturing Inc. (6Z056) and Aviation Manufacturing Group (84596). The purchase quantity is 165 ea with a 100% quantity option. It is the Government’s intent to purchase 165 ea with the inclusion of a 100% quantity option allowing the government to purchase an additional 165 ea during the contract. This purchase requires a First Article Test (FAT) (Government Testing). The destination is one or more CONUS DLA Depot(s). The solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside that will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract. This is a Best Value Acquisition. The following factors will be utilized in descending order of importance: (1) Past Performance; (2) Price. The Government intends to use FAR Part 12, Commercial Items for this acquisition. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil AFTER 16 May 2008. From the DIBBS homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Construction & Equipment (C&E) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as “The Berry Amendment” imposes restrictions on the DoD’s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and “specialty metals” (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. Important Note on RFID Contractors are reminded that they are required to provide passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags when delivery is made to a domestic DLA depot. Tags are not required if a waiver or an extension has been granted by the Contracting Officer for that specific award. Failure to provide RFID tags when required by the award may result in a negative action against the contractor’s Automated Best Value System (ABVS) score. Other contractual remedies may be pursued at the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
