- 1. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 13 May 2008 and the estimated closing date for receipt of proposals is 1 July 2008. 2. Solicitation #: FD2030-08-71206 3. RFP #: Same as #2 4. Nomenclature: Air Foil Rib 5. NSN: 1560-00-016-1813 FG 6. Part Number: 1-75013-42 7. Application: B-52 Aircraft 8. Quantity: 1 ea 9. AMC: 1C 10. Purchase History: Purchased one time in 2004 for a unit price less than $500,000.00 11. Description: Dimensions:.156 x 21.3 x 36.2. Flap track has several different materials but the majority of it is 7075 T6, 2024 T3. Rib Assy, flap track, trailing edge. Each flap section is extended and retracted by two ball bearing drive jackscrews driven by the flap drive torque tube. Each inboard section extends and retracts on four flap tracks. Each outboard flap section extends and retracts on three flap tracks. 12. Source approval is necessary in order to ensure the quality of the part. Alternate sources must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures and be approved by OC-ALC B52 engineering office. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
