Description

This request requires the lifting of a KC-135 Aircraft Trainer from its supports, placed on a transporter, and to move the aircraft from Sheppard AFB SAC Ramp to Sheppard AFB Medical Readiness Area. The distance of travel to move this aircraft is approximately 1.5 Miles. Travel will occur across our airstrip. The attached Statement of Work, and SF 1449 (Solicitation) provide detailed information regarding our requirements. A site visit will be arranged on May 7, 2008 at 0900 in order for interested contractor's to view the scope of work in greater detail. Your participation in the site visit is required in order for you to fully understand the extent and scope of work requested. Pictures may be provided at your request. Note: This KC-135 is a trainer. The wings, landing gear, and tail sections have been removed. Approximate weight is 40,000 lbs - 50,000 lbs.
