Description
TACOM LCMC Rock Island is seeking businesses willing to enter into a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) as defined by FAR 13.303 for a period of 5 years. The items that would be procured under the BPAs would be various sizes of either MIL-A-12560 or MIL-A-46100 Armor Steel to support various Add on Armor programs. All orders for the above material will be competed and all BPA holders provided a fair opportunity to quote on requirements. Contractors that have a proven record of providing Armor Steel to the Government for Government purposes, or that have had their commercial grade material tested as a new producer by Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) under the appropriate procedures of the applicable specification will be considered in establishing this BPA. Sources that are interested in holding a BPA for this material must provide documentation to the contract specialist with contract references of past material provided to the Government that was in accordance with the above military specifications, or documentation from Aberdeen Proving Ground that indicates the commercial grade material meets the requirements of MIL-A-12560 or MIL-A-46100. All orders under resulting BPAs will require Inspection and Acceptance at Origin, FOB at destination, and invoicing through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible to hold a BPA. If you are interested in participating in this program, please send the information described above regarding your past contracts with the Government for this material or from APG to Beth Anderson electronically at beth.m.anderson@us.army.mil Upon the Governments determination that the contractor has adequately fulfilled these requirements, a draft copy of the BPA master agreement will be provided for review and signature if all terms are acceptable. Responses indicating interest should be provided no later than close of business 12 May 2008.
