- STATEMENT OF WORK FOR ON-SITE SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT FOR MACINTOSH GRAPHICS LAN AT DLA DSS-BX The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) DSS-BX group provides Graphics support to DLA Headquarters staff and programs. DSS-BX utilizes Macintosh and PC hardware and software, peripheral output devices (printers and scanners), a Macintosh server, and diverse Graphics application software, e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Quark Xpress, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, etc. DSS-BX requires a computer service and support contract to upgrade and maintain its computer systems and network. The DSS-BX computer system includes Apple Macintosh workstations, Windows XP workstations, printers, servers and network infrastructures. The company selected will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the hardware and software needed for the DSS-BX at DLA Headquarters in Fort Belvoir, VA. 1. SCOPE OF WORK 1.1 General: The DSS-BX requires a computer service and support contract to upgrade and maintain its computer systems and network. The DSS-BX computer system includes 6 Apple Macintosh workstations, 2 Windows XP workstations, printers, servers and network infrastructures. The DSS-BX requires that the contractor maintain the network and systems to ensure that the DSS-BX can maintain full functionality. Contractor will repair or replace any failed components as required to return the system to full functionality. 1.1.1 Installation Requirements: 1. Install new and replacement equipment as required. 1.1.2. Support Requirements: 1. Monitor operations to ensure that the server remains operational and that regular backups are maintained. 2. Inform DSS-BX management when software and hardware updates are required and provide specifications to facilitate purchase of updates by DLA. 3. Provide telephone and email based support to DSS-BX staff to help resolve computer hardware and network related failures. 1.1.2.6. If a system component is deemed faulty and is covered by manufacturer warranty, it is the responsibility of the contractor to remove and replace the defective part, and to coordinate for warranty repair/replacement. If a component is defective, and there are no replacement parts on hand, the COR, in conjunction with the Contracting Officer, shall determine the best means to procure any replacement parts needed. The contractor should not purchase/order any parts not covered by warranty without prior approval of the government. 2. SPECIFIC TASKS 2.1. The contractor will provide the following: 2.1.1. All labor, test equipment, tools and supervision necessary to provide on site installation of upgrades and improvements specified by this SOW. 2.1.2. All labor, supervision, equipment and transportation necessary to perform systems administration on-site 2.2. Periods of performance. 2.2.1. On site support: 1 March 2008 - 28 February 2009, as required by the Government. The government shall have the right to extend the contract for four Option Years following the initial period of performance. 2.3. All coordination will be done with DSS-BX COR, James Hooker. 3. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 3.1 Travel costs: The contractor is responsible for providing transportation, lodging and meals for technicians and staff during onsite visits, maintenance periods, emergency repairs, and the actual performance period for on-site technical support. 3.2. Appearance: Contractor shall present a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times. Normal business attire is the appropriate dress during periods of support of classroom operations and interaction with students and faculty. 3.3. Hours of Operation. Normal operating hours are from 0730 to 1630, Monday through Friday; however, these are subject to change based on mission and operating requirements. Federal government holidays are observed. 3.4 Security Requirements. The contractor shall meet the security requirements as set forth in AR 604-20. A security clearance is not required for the contractor’s performance of work. 4. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES 4.1 General. The government will provide access to office space, facilities, materials, and automation equipment and/or services listed herein for the conduct of this SOW. 4.2 Property 4.2.1 Facilities. Office and/or suitable rooms for conducting administrative duties in the building shall be provided.
