Description
NASA/KSC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for the followingCommercial item/services: KSC Grounds and Landscape Maintenance and Pest Control Contract(GLMPC). This potential contract will require contractor performance in various groundsmaintenance efforts such as mowing large areas of acreage, edging, trimming, treeremoval, hay baling, licensed herbicide/pesticide application, and pest removal forKennedy Space Center.******No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of thesolicitation************KSC Grounds and Landscape Maintenance and Pest Control Contract (GLMPC) is being offeredfor competition limited to eligible HubZone concerns.The NAICS Code is 561730 and the Size Standard is $6.5 million. The anticipated release date of the Draft RFP NNK08235782R is on or about 13 May 08, withan anticipated due date for comments on or about 23 May 08. The purpose of the Draft RFP is to invite comments from potential offerors on all partsof the draft solicitation, including the grounds requirements, the schedules, theproposal instructions, and the evaluation process. Potential offerors will bespecifically requested to identify unnecessary or inefficient requirements, and will beinvited to identify commercial standards that meet the Government's requirements or forany perceived safety, occupational health, security (including information technologysecurity), environmental compliance, export control, and/or other risk issues involvedwith this grounds maintenance work.The solicitation process will include a site visit date and the specific details of thatsite visit will be posted in the Draft RFP. [OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED]An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/KSCBusiness Opportunities page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=76 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
