Description
Project Scope: Construct a 2,230 m fabric aircraft maintenance hangar at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The project includes associated site work, reinforced concrete slab, footings, electrical infrastructure, interior lighting, fire suppression systems and interior climate control. Supporting facilities include pavements, site improvements, communications and other necessary support. The magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 USD. The expected contract duration is one hundred eighty-one (181) calendar days from contract award with the expected completion date being 31 Dec 2008. Plans and Specifications: Two (2) sets of the solicitation will be issued on compact disk (CD) to prime contractors at no cost. The solicitation will not be provided to subcontractors, suppliers, or vendors. Contracting Procedures: The solicitation will be a request for proposal (RFP). Source selection will be made using the best value trade-off process. Both non-pricing (technical) and price proposals are required. The evaluation factors with their significance and weight will be provided in the RFP. The Government may include options in the solicitation. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis. Acquisition Time Line: Tentative date for issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP) number W912ER-08-R-0052 is 14 May 2008. Tentative date for receipt of proposals is 16 Jun 2008. A pre proposal conference/site will be tentatively scheduled for 26 May 2008. Tentative date to award the contract is 03 Jul 2008.
