- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking qualified contractors that can provide hardware maintenance for Hewlett Packard DL360 and DL380 servers located in Austin, Texas and Limestone, Maine. We are looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your response, please indicate under which programs you meet the criteria. The NAICS Code is 541519, and the Small Business Standard is $23 million. The contractor will provide hardware maintenance for Hewlett Packard DL360 and DL380 Servers located in Austin, TX and Limestone, ME. Hardware maintenance for the specified servers includes the repair and/or replacement of defective components within a 4 hours of the initial trouble call in both Austin, TX and Limestone, ME. The maintenance package will grant Job Corps access to technical support 24x7X365 via phone and/or Internet. The maintenance package shall provide Hewlett Packard certified technicians for diagnosing and resolving hardware related problems associated with the servers. The successful vendor shall certify the proper disposal of components in accordance with federal regulations for the disposition of media that may contain sensitive information. The Job Corps reserves the right to inspect components that may hold sensitive information and take action to erase information prior to the component leaving the premises. The maintenance agreement shall grant Job Corps the right to any applicable patches, bug fixes or firmware/software upgrades during the term of the agreement. All contractors responding to this announcement must demonstrate their experience in the aforementioned work. Pertinent factors for consideration of qualifications are: (1) The company’s ability to provide a four-hour onsite response time in Austin, TX and Limestone, ME if required; (2) The company’s ability to provide HP certified technicians to perform diagnostics and repair on server hardware; and (3) The company’s past experience in providing similar services to any other Federal agencies. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement, to Ms. Jillian Matz, Contract Specialist, Division of Job Corps Technical Training, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Suite N4308, Washington, DC 20210. Responses are due May 12, 2008 by 4 p.m. EST. Electronic copies of capability statements are preferred and may be emailed to matz.jillian@dol.gov. The response must be specific to each of the qualifications listed above to show that the respondent has the skills and experience. The submittals shall not exceed 15 pages, TOTAL. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition as a set-aside is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
