- Description
- This is a Full and Open Competition acquisition. The acquisition issubject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This project consist of furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary in the construction project of installing Government-furnished equipment (GFE): power circuit breakers disconnecting switches, motor-operators for existing selector switches, motor operators for existing disconnecting switches, Coupling capacitor voltage transformers, and two current summation junction boxes. Provide high voltage bus system, grounding system, conduit, insulated conductor and cable and terminal boxes. Remove, stockpile and protect existing gravel surfacing. Demolition and modification of existing foundations. Excavation for foundations. Place and compact earth material and backfill, and dispose of excess material. Remove existing oil piping. Provide additional gravel surfacing. Provide foundations for substation structures and electrical equipment. Install Government-furnished type C cable trench with aluminum covers. Provide equipment and switch operating platforms. Provide anchor bolts, and substation signs. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated with a completion date of March 1, 2009. The project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Place of performance is Shasta County, CA. The evaluation technique to be utilized for the contemplated award of the issued solicitation is Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT). Under PPT procedures, past performance will be evaluated. It is anticipated the solicitation package to include specifications and drawings will be available at no charge on or about May 15, 2008.
