Description
Sources Sought Notice. Statement of Work. The project will provide for the renovation of as much as 19.2 miles of Mercury Highway at the Nevada Test Site (NTS). The main gate at the NTS is approximately 65 north of Las Vegas, Nevada. The work location for this project is approximately 10 miles north of the NTS main gate within the boundaries of the NTS. This renovation consists of Roadbed Modification (NDOT, Section 305) and applying a new three-inch thick asphalt overlay. Mercury Highway is a 26-foot wide road. The renovated road will include two twelve-foot wide travel lanes and two one-foot wide paved shoulders. The scope of work will also include renovation of passing lanes and transitions from intersecting roadways, replacement of a small amount of CMP culverts, and all associated striping and signage. All work will be performed in accordance with the design drawings and specifications to be provided by NSTec. The construction subcontractor shall provide all labor (including appropriate craft personnel, field engineer, safety representative, superintendent, and office support personnel), material, and equipment necessary to perform the scope of work. The construction subcontractor shall be responsible traffic control, including supplying and installing all signs and traffic control barriers in accordance with an approved traffic control plan. As there are no reasonable opportunities for detours around the sections of road to be renovated, it is expected that the road will remain passable throughout the construction period. Construction Quality Control Testing will be performed by an independent and appropriately certified Laboratory in accordance with NDOT requirements. All work is expected to be performed between March 2009 and September 2009. Please provide the following with your response. Provide a description of your firm?s experience to perform work as identified in our Statement of Work. Please show that you have a minimum of 5 years experience in work of a nature similar in type and magnitude to that set forth in the Statement of Work. Describe your firm?s staffing capability, current workload and an assessment of your firm?s ability to complete assigned work. Identify key personnel to be assigned, both Subcontractor and any lower tier Subcontractors, to include education and experience in performing this work. Also include a team organizational chart. Address your firm?s compliance with previous project schedules and the relevance of work completed with regard to our Statement of Work.
