Description
This is a sources sought synopsis to conduct market research; this is not a solicitation. The purpose of this announcement is to identify interested parties in the field of Medical and Surgical equipment repair and maintenance services. Description of Services: Contractor shall provide all transportation (travel costs), labor, parts, materials (excluding user consumable supplies), manufacturer's authorized field modification (FMIs), individual tools and test equipment required to service and maintain an ACT-T 5 Diff CP, Serial Number A148253. Equipment is located in the 65th Medical Group, Laboratory Section, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Personnel: The Contractor's service technician assigned to this contract, as well as any temporary personnel, shall have successfully completed training on this equipment or similar equipment by an authorized Beckman Coulter service training program. The Contractor shall provide documentation substantiating their service technician is qualified to service and maintain the equipment. Contractor and personnel shall have fluent English speaking ability. (fluency is defined as being able to converse with customers, to answer questions and give directions in an understandable manner, and be able to read and write in or use other communication and media devises to send or prepare reports). Interested parties should know, it is anticipated that an award will be made to Izasa Portugal - Distribuioces Tecnicas, Lda. Capable and interested parties are invited to respond to this sources sought notice no later than 7 May 2008, 4:00 P.M. local time. Additional information to interested parties includes the following: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Contractors must also be registered in Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Registration may take up to three weeks to process. It is recommended registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
