- NASA/KSC has a requirement for three (3) Programmable RF Step Attenuators, with thefollowing specifications:The Programmable RF Step Attenuator Assembly shall have three independent RF stepattenuators each programmable with local controls or with remote interface. The assemblyshall be upgradeable to accommodate a total of six attenuators. The assembly shall berack mountable and use 120 VAC power.Electrical:Attenuator:Range0 to 100 dB (minimum)Step size 1 dB increments (maximum)Input RF Power 30 dBm (maximum)Frequency d. c. to 5 GHz (minimum)Impedance 50 ohmsInsertion Loss6 dB (maximum)Operator Controlsand Display:Local Front Panel switches/buttons and LED/LCD Remote RS-232 and IEEE 488.1 for commands and status.RF Connectors Type N for input and output for each attenuator.Power:120 VAC, 50/60 Hz and less than 100 watts.Mechanical:Connectors: RF, Remote Interface and Power shall be mounted on the rear side of theassembly.Dimensions:Assembly shall be rack mountable in MIL-STD-189 equipment rack and take up nomore than 2U (3.5 inches) of rack front space with 6 attenuators installed.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)to Gloria McIntosh at email address: gloria.a.mcintosh@nasa.gov no later than 4:00 P.M.May 08, 2008. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release ofamendments (if any).
