- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 (Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items), as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This requirement is being issued in conjunction with FAR Subpart 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) and simplified acquisition procedures will be used, as applicable. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). A copy of the Solicitation with instructions for submitting a Quote in response to RFQ No. SECHQ1-08-Q-8135 is being attached to this electronic notice. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is interested in improving the efficiency of the SEC’s current Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program by identifying the most easily implemented business processes and strategies that would allow the SEC to effectively manage its FOIA workload, including: •improved request processing time; •reduction or elimination of existing request backlogs; •streamlining of policies and practices; •increased availability of frequently requested documents. The project performance is anticipated to be from date of award through seven months. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICs) is 541611 consulting services. Quotes are being requested. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment maintenance. Potential vendors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration.Gov (CCR.Gov) and provide representations and certifications (under www.bpn.gov/orca) to be eligible for award.
