Description
This is Modification 1 to the pre-solicitation synopsis for the NASA/JSC ISSProgram Integration & Control (PI&C) Pre-Solicitation No. NNJ08ZBG002L posted on March28, 2008. This modification serves as notification of the following updates:1. The direct link to the website, which provides the most up-to-day informationconcerning the acquisition, can be viewed at:http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/isspic/default.asp 2. NASA/JSC is hereby notifying interested parties that NASA is planning to hold thePI&C Industry Day on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., Central DaylightTime (CDT), at the NASA/Johnson Space Center Gilruth Recreation Center in the AlamoBallroom. One-on-one communications will follow at the Gilruth Center. See below forinformation on how to sign up for one-on-one sessions. A. The goals of the PI&C Industry Day are: i. To promote competition on the proposed PI&C acquisition;ii. To Develop industry understanding of the Governments current vision and objectivespertaining to pre-solicitation synopsis NNJ08ZBG002L for ISS PI&C; iii. To Provide industry with the opportunity to meet with the Government early enoughin the procurement process to provide input into the PI&C procurement strategy; iv. To encourage offerors to submit questions and comments in writing via the PI&Cwebsite or in person during Industry Day. The Government will respond in writing to allquestions submitted by posting them to NAIS and the PI&C procurement website.B. Registration Requirements: Interested parties are requested to RSVP for Industry Day and, if desired, One-on-oneCommunications with Industry by close of business on Friday, May 16, 2008, by e-mail toJSC-Prog-Int-and-Contract-SEB@ndc.nasa.gov The RSVP should include the followinginformation: i. Subject line: "ISS PI&C Industry Day RSVP" ii. Point-of-contact's name, telephone number, and companyiii. Names of all the attendees from interested company 3. One-on-one Communications with Industry: To facilitate further open communications with Industry, interested parties are invitedto meet with the ISS PI&C Procurement Development Team (PDT) Chair and ContractingOfficer. Guidance for conduct of the one-on-one communications will be provided on theISS PI&C website @ http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/isspic/default.aspThe PI&C PDT has scheduled the Rio Grande Room in the Gilruth Center for May 22, 2008,8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meetings are limited to forty-five minutes. Interested parties are limited to five attendees per offeror. The request for aone-on-one meeting should include the same information as (B) Registration Requirementsfor Industry Day except the Subject line should read: ISS PI&C One-on-One Request. Interested parties wishing to RSVP for both Industry Day and One-on-One Communicationsmay reference both in the subject line of the email which indicates the offerorsinterest.Interested parties are limited to one (1) One-on-one Communications meeting per offeror.Meetings will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. 4. A Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) is planned to be released. After the draft RFP isreleased NASA/JSC will hold a pre-proposal conference. Industry will then be solicited tosubmit questions in writing so that the Government may officially respond. Directions to the Gilruth Center: Heading South on I-45, turn Left on Bay Area Boulevard (East). Proceed approximately 3miles on Bay Area Boulevard, and then turn Right on Space Center Boulevard. Proceedapproximately 2 miles on Space Center Boulevard through two stop lights. Turn Right tothe Johnson Space Center Gilruth Center. Proceed to the Gilruth Building parking lot.Enter thru the Gilruth Center's front entry, and the Alamo Ballroom will be on your left.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/JSC Business Opportunitieshome page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation andany amendments. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy ofthe solicitation and amendments (if any).
