Description
The proposed contractual action will be a five (5) year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a minimum quantity of 10 each TS-4530A/UPM Mode 5 Kits and 10 each TS-4530A/UPM Mode 5 Sets. The indefinite quantity for the TS-4530A/UPM Mode 5 Kits will be 1-2990 each, and the indefinite quantity for theTS-4530A/UPM Mode 5 Sets will be 1-1990 each. This is a full and open competitive requirement. The Government requires the acquisition of Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mode 5 upgrade kits that allow the currently fielded Radar Test Sets (RTS) to retain its exact form, fit, and function, as well as additional production quantities of the RTS, Mode 5 capable, that shall be form, fit, and function with the existing RTS. The upgrade kits shall allow for all required software, electrical, and hardware modifications, to include electrical and mechanical changes, and the testing of ten (10) Low Rate Initial Production upgrade 5 kits, as well as ten (10) pre-production Mode 5 capable RTS. The Kits shall upgrade the current IFF Test Set, Radar: TS-4530/UPM for operation of Mode 5 cryptography while maintaining/improving all current modes of operation and capabilities, which include corrective maintenance and end user training manuals, and warranty requirements. The improved RTS shall maximize the use of commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) hardware and software that will be designed to provide reliable, timely and consistent data for the appropriate users. The modified RTS shall be bench and weapon platforms tested for conformity to the latest Department of Defense (DoD) Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System/Identification Friend or Foe (IFF)/Mark XII Electronic Identification System (AIMS) Program Office (PO) documents. The modified RTS shall meet all AIMS PO requirements for Certification of all IFF Modes of operation.
