Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport intends to place on a Sole Source basis, a firm-fixed price order with Northrop Grumman Undersea Systems (NGUS) for follow-up analysis of Spartan launch and recovery system and engineering support for Spartan residual material for new USV efforts. NGUS is the only contractor with the required experience to assist with the disassembly, refurbishment and reassembly of the L&R equipment. NGUS is the only company with the design drawings and CAD files to perform the tasks according to the statement of work. NGUS is the only contractor with the original parts lists and assembly instructions. The period of performance is not to exceed 12 months from date of contract award. NAICS Code is 541330, size standard $4.5 million. This procurement is being processed on an unrestricted basis. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Instructions for registering are available at the CCR website. Prospective contractors must also have an active ORCA registration. Instructions for registering are available at https://orca.bpn.gov/. The solicitation (N66604-08-Q-3252) will be posted on or about 06-May-2008 and will close on 13-May 2008 at 2PM. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
