Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a contract to the Raytheon Company for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for the third generation Advanced Forward Looking Infra Red (ATFLIR) for calendar year 2009 with options for calendar years 2010 and 2011. This effort will include ILS and Program Management for Logistics and Support Equipment (SE) analysis. The U.S. Navy has a critical requirement for uninterrupted ILS of the ATFLIR third generation targeting system to fulfill F/A-18 operational requirements. As the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer for the ASQ-228 ATFLIR Full Rate Production (FRP) system, the Raytheon Company is the only known source that can supply the ATFLIR technical data and analysis required to fulfill F/A-18 minimum operational fielding requirements. The base period of performance for the CY09 ILS effort is from 01 January 2009 through 31 December 2009. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. See Numbered Note 22.
