- NASA/KSC has a requirement for Personal Dosimetry Devices and Supporting Equipment.Item#1 RadEye G Personal Dosimetry devices P/N 425067450 (QTY 50 EA), Item#2 RadEye Gholsters P/N 425067046 (Qty 40 EA), Item#3 RadEye G User Software P/N 425069951 (QTY 1EA), Item#4 Desktop Holder for RadEye G P/N 42506706001 (QTY 3 EA), and Item #5 Com Port/PC adaptor cable for RadEye G P/N4254029 (QTY 2 EA). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from QSA Global Inc. QSA Global Inc. equipmentcomplies with the minimum requirements of NASA/KSC radiographic operations. The unitsmust conform to the following: Energy range from 40-50 keV minimum up to at least 1.3 MeVwith accuracy of +/-20%, Display range from 0 to1 R/hr, a certificate of calibration froma NVLAP for a period of six months, and software for control and monitoring of the units.In addition, the system should be capable of being operated using a standard Windows XPplatform. The units should included two copies of all manuals, drawings, and schematics,as well as, a spare parts list. The government will perform an acceptance test to verifyoperability, sensitivity and calibration verification. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon May 19, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
